The Catalyst Series was built under constraint, but never compromised by it.
From the beginning, we operated with significantly reduced crews, often 70% smaller than traditional productions. Agency leadership took on multiple roles simultaneously, producing, directing, managing logistics, and supporting production in real time to keep the work moving.
This lean approach wasn’t a limitation, it became the creative engine.
By stripping production down to its essentials, we were able to stay agile and embed more deeply with our subjects. We moved quickly through labs, offices, and remote environments, capturing real moments as they happened. Without the footprint of a large crew, the work feels immediate, intimate, and authentic.
Despite these constraints, the commitment to craft never wavered. We rejected shortcuts like stock footage or music, choosing instead to capture everything firsthand. Crews worked from pre-dawn to sundown to get the right light, the right moment, the right shot. Every frame was earned.
This balance of scrappiness and precision became a defining characteristic of the series. The limitations forced clarity, focus, and creativity in every decision, from how scenes were captured to how stories were structured.
The result is a body of work that punches far above its weight. It delivers cinematic quality and emotional depth typically associated with much larger productions, while maintaining the authenticity and agility of a small, embedded team.
