At Klick, our “There’s Something Different Here” tagline doesn’t just get to the heart of our award-winning, people-first culture. It’s a declaration of our independence and ‘always in Beta’ cultural ethos and rejection of the status quo.

We don’t look, act, or sound like your typical cookie-cutter agency, because we’re not.

At Klick, we love to do things differently.

As an independent company, we answer to our clients and our people, not to an agency network, holding company, or shareholders. That gives us the freedom for all our people to think differently and experiment, ensuring we create a culture with strong business outcomes, not optics.

We don’t just follow the beat of our own drum; we built the band and play the music that moves us. For Klick, that means doing everything from building our own operating system and KlickU management training series to to inventing Klick it Forward (our customized philanthropy program that puts the CSR funding directly into the hands of Klicksters, who in 2024, donated over $150K to 27 charities) and offering $1 million in employee prize money for outstanding new AI ideas, to giving all our team members Oura rings and Peloton apps, and factoring Klicksters into EVERYTHING we do.

At Klick, we have built our culture with intention.

We don’t just do a few things differently; we do everything differently, including meetings. You’ve probably heard the popular saying ‘this meeting could have been an email,’ or the spicier version, ‘this email could have been a fist fight.’ That meme-worthy frustration with boring workplace meetings and email overload inspired us to create a better way to keep our teams connected. So we created Klick MOSHO, Klick's dynamic TV-show-like company wide meeting tailored for our global, hybrid workforce. MOSHO brings to life the vibrant heart of the company, showcasing surprise musical guests like Sujeet Desai, BookTok authors, internal comedic characters and short clips featuring friends and family of Klicksters, short film premieres, celebrating company performance and milestones, showcasing amazing work and film premieres we’ve produced right here in our offices, and so much more. MOSHO fosters a strong sense of community and connection with everyone.

When it comes to AI, we’re not like other agencies, either. We formally established our in-house machine learning team back in 2008 – long before AI went mainstream and have been focused on ensuring both our people and business are future-proofed for success to lead our clients to success over the long-term. But AI and machine learning have been at our core since our inception.

Over the last couple years, we’ve helped Klicksters go all-in on AI, providing all of our team ChatGPT licenses, AI tools, coaches, peer-led workshops/groups (like our popular AI-Newbies Slack channel) for hands-on learning/collaboration at all levels, and training sessions led by OpenAI, who †proudly said we’re in the top 1% of companies to adopt and use ChatGPT. Yup, true story!

And then there’s the Klick Prize – what other agency has awarded $1 million to their employees for the best AI concepts to fuel the outcomes for their clients?!!!!

In a world where others ‘play it safe,’ we are committed to the ‘relentless pursuit of awesome’ pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and we dare impossible to stop us.

Our independence has enabled us to build our culture with intention - and empower every Klickster to lean into our unique company principles and cultural behaviors (like kindness and empathy) and play a direct role in our success.

We know that the best ideas, the strongest outcomes, and the most innovative solutions come from teams that bring different perspectives to the table. Attracting and retaining top talent means intentionally seeking out brilliance across all cultures and identities, and Klick welcomes diverse perspectives from across the globe. Building a high-performance culture means creating the right conditions for everyone to thrive.

Case in point: think a round table is only the stuff of Arthurian legend? Our CEO, Lori Grant, intentionally has one in her office to make everyone feel welcome to bring their ideas to the table. There is no one at the head of the table and all ideas are welcome. If that’s not gonna knock your socks off, what about the fact that Lori sends every single Klickster a personal note on their hiring anniversary; hosts Zoom-based Meet-and-Greets every month with new Klicksters, and welcomes anyone to request a one-on-one meeting with her at any time. Seriously.

For 15 years, we’ve made holiday videos that don’t just spread cheer, they break the internet (with billions of views and counting!). In our 2024 ‘Holiday Hugs’ video, we surprised Klicksters with real and AI-powered family/friend reunions that had people laughing, crying, and hitting replay. Many candidates even tell us these videos are what drew them to Klick with the memorable glimpses they give of our offices, people, and overall culture. Internally, there’s tremendous pride in turning the office into a movie set each year and seeing Klicksters star in the video. Alas, that’s just another perk of being independent: we don’t need to get permission to make a little holiday magic, we just do it.

As one of the most awarded advertising agencies on the planet, Klick recently made history by becoming the first EVER health agency to be ranked an ‘Agency of the Year’ by both The One Show and New York Festivals Advertising Awards. We’ve also been named Clio Health Independent Agency of the Year, London International Awards Global (and Regional) Independent Health & Pharma Agency of the Year, as well as Cannes Lions #2 Healthcare Agency and #2 Healthcare Network.

Klick has also been ranked a Best Managed Company, Great Place to Work, Best Workplace for Women, Best Workplace for Inclusion, Best Workplace for Professional Services, Most Admired Corporate Culture, and a FORTUNE Best Workplace in Advertising.

Klick exists as the result of an experience our co-founders had after selling their previous business to a large public company. It started being managed for optics instead of outcomes and stopped motivating people to achieve their full potential. They watched the culture fall apart, and decided that people would always come first at their next company.

They have believed since inception that diversity of experiences, identity, and expertise will always lead to the best client outcomes, the best work culture, and the best work of people’s careers.

It’s been over a quarter century since teenage tech whizzes Leerom Segal and Aaron Goldstein co-founded Klick Health alongside entrepreneur Peter Cordy. Now, 28 years later, Klick is the world’s largest independent life sciences marketing and commercialization agency. The company is still independently owned, still being led by its founders, and still being built organically from the ground up. It’s still agile and still embracing its people-first, hacker-rooted, and entrepreneurial founding principles.

Consistently named a Best Managed Company and Great Place to Work, Klick is headquartered in Toronto with offices in New York, Philadelphia, Saratoga Springs and global hubs in London, Singapore, and São Paulo. As we’ve grown and evolved, our commitment to prioritizing our people-first culture remains paramount.

Over the years, our high-performance and people-first founding principle has led us to build an agency that reflects our independence and factors Klicksters into EVERYTHING we do.

Founded almost three decades ago, we continue to unleash the mentality of a start-up, always in Beta, consciously curious and always evolving” (a Klick mantra).

After 28 years of unprecedented success, Klick has never been stronger. We remain “still in beta,” leaning into our entrepreneurial spirit and hacker roots to ensure the success of our people and teams, our clients, and the life sciences industry.
