Nourish Oregon

This rebrand transformed the Portland Open Bible Pantry into Nourish Oregon—a nonprofit that delivers essential food with compassion and dignity. The new name reflects their expanded reach and broader impact: “nourish” encompasses not just food, but education, wellness, and community connection. Rooted in accessibility and statewide service, the new identity supports hospital partnerships and outreach. From naming to visual storytelling, the brand was rebuilt to foster trust, visibility, and unity across Oregon.

The biggest challenge was transitioning a faith-affiliated pantry into an independent nonprofit without losing community trust. We needed a new name and brand that honored their roots while supporting future growth. Key objectives included creating a youthful and inclusive visual identity that reflects the community they serve, supports hospital partnerships, and embodies their culture—warm, grassroots, and deeply local—while positioning Nourish Oregon as a trusted, modern resource across the state.

We developed the name Nourish Oregon to reflect their expanding reach and core mission of feeding communities with dignity. A fresh, welcoming visual identity was created, featuring bold, youthful colors and an approachable tone rooted in care and connection. The brand now supports stronger hospital partnerships, invites broader community engagement, and is receiving statewide recognition. The launch received positive feedback from donors, partners, and volunteers, setting the stage for future growth.

Nourish Oregon began in southeast Portland, serving a diverse, underserved community with deep cultural roots. As the organization expanded statewide, the brand needed to reflect both its local identity and broader mission. The Community Table program is central to this, highlighting shared recipes from different cultures with healthy, accessible ingredient swaps. These stories and tutorials are shared via YouTube, supporting dignity and connection through culturally relevant nutrition education.
