Description: A brief description of this work and the creative idea:

To honor the 50th anniversary of Seattle Pride, Visit Seattle launched the Love For All Boat—a sunset vow renewal cruise for LGBTQIA+ couples, officiated by Justice Mary Yu and hosted by drag icon BenDeLaCreme. The experience positioned Seattle as a city where all love is honored and welcomed.

The Brief: What were the main challenges? What were the key objectives? :

Seattle wanted to both reaffirm and celebrate its commitment to inclusion and visibility. Our challenge: celebrate 50 years of Seattle Pride in a way that felt both national in impact and deeply local in heart. The goal: attract attention, uplift love, and create cultural resonance.

Solution + Results: How did you solve the brief? What were the top three results?:

We broke a world record: 56 couples renewed vows in unison. That moment anchored 66 global media stories, racking up 251M+ impressions and $2.7M in earned media on a modest budget. From ABC World News to Pride.com, the message was clear—Seattle is a safe, joyful haven for LGBTQIA+ love.

Context: Are there any specific cultural/regional/local references that are important for judges to understand? :

Justice Mary Yu—Washington’s first openly gay Supreme Court Justice—officiated the event. Drag icon BenDeLaCreme hosted. Together with sweeping Puget Sound views, the event was uniquely, unmistakably Seattle. Local hotel partners extended the love with Pride packages across the city.
