The VCA Energy Campaign was designed to help VCA Associates manage their energy while promoting health and well-being resources in a supportive, joyful way. The initiative includes an engagement toolkit to help Associates recognize low energy, find personalized ways to re-energize, and connect with VCA resources. This resulted in "Taking Care of Our Energy," a multifaceted campaign with a care package full of Breathe Stickers, Wellness Trackers, along with Digital Touch Points, all designed to make Associates feel supported.


Create an engagement campaign and manager toolkit to help Associates better manage their energy in a way that promotes our health and well-being resources, brings joy and feels supportive (vs. another thing to do or communicate from corporate) following this approach:

1. How to recognize when your energy is low 

2. How to take action that works for you (what gives you energy?)

3. Here are some ideas or VCA resources to help


VCA launched an internal campaign in July 2024 around taking care of our energy as an action from our 2023 Mars Associate Survey results since “energized” was the lowest overall theme.

Results:

  • MAS Energized theme YoY slight increase from 3.68 to 3.71
  • 201 Energy Champions nominated
  • 896 Energy Care Packages shipped to all U.S. hospitals
  • 3,000+ visits to the Energy Hub
  • Energized is still the lowest MAS theme but the score has slightly improved YoY and we’ve built a community and foundation to continue to focus on Associate energy levels.
