Roe v Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in June of 2022.

Our agency uses corporate credit cards to manage day-to-day operations. At the end of the year, we get redeemable points (cash) from using the card for our expenses. Basically free money.

To encourage small companies like ours to get involved, we established Points For Choice, an industry-wide fundraising initiative that enabled businesses to easily convert their corporate credit card points to cash, and donate to Planned Parenthood through a GoFundMe platform.

The revocation of Roe vs Wade left us feeling helpless and disheartened. After all, it was a restrictive measure put on women’s bodies and on their reproductive rights.

The key objective here was to rally our partners (and sometimes competitors) to come together and make a positive impact. We couldn’t reverse the decision to restrict women’s healthcare, but we could do our part to help those who no longer had access to abortion.

Instead of putting our “free money” back into the company, we put it towards an issue that we care deeply about. We ultimately raised $40K to donate to Planned Parenthood with social posts and by connecting with other agency partners.

Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022. At the time of this campaign, abortion has been banned in 14 states, and restricted in 7 additional ones. This means many women now have restricted access to healthcare, even if the circumstances are dire.
