Flipping a switch that turns on a light is a magical marvel that people take for granted. But it’s the foundation of much of what our technologically driven society is built upon. This spot narrated by a wondrous fairy godmother shows how that magic is part of the lives of everyday Omahans, through beautifully shot moments.


The Omaha Public Power District created a new vision for the future of power in the communities it serves. This vision will shift its strategic priorities both internally and externally to better support the growing area. While this is great and all, customers don’t think about their power company, unless things go wrong or rates go up which results in less customer satisfaction and engagement. 

This spot’s objective was to bring OPPD’s vision to life, raise affinity and get customers more engaged.


This spot was part of an integrated campaign that involved OOH, print, social and events. It resulted in a 250% increase in visits to https://www.oppdcommunityconnect.com/ their customer engagement website, a bump attendance to coffee chats.


The Omaha Public Power District is a public power company (with a publically elected board of directors) that serves, and answers to, the people of Omaha. So our job was to find a way to deliver their vision for the future in a way all the stakeholders groups could understand and get excited about. From next generation customers to state legislators, our audience was the whole community, so we couldn’t bore them with wonky policy speak or technical specs, we also had to stay away from polarizing themes like renewables.
