Hydro Flask

North, Inc

A series featuring four of Hydro Flask's key products, we brought the brand mark to life through innovative animation techniques. Lil' Hydro (as we dubbed it) worked to bring mischeif and highlight product features in an engaging way across a strategic full funnel media plan. Three of four were produced directly by North in-house, the first video "Gym" was produced in partnership with After All productions.

Hydro Flask losing ground to knockoffs and the Stanley tumbler craze. Hydro Flask's parent company came in with a heavy hand and mandated a product benefits campaign. But Hydro Flask is an affinity brand driven by its iconic name, logo, and colors. So how to present straight-up rational benefits in the most engaging, joyful Hydro Flask way. Bring to life the one that that remains unique: the logo.

This campaign was the best performing campaign to date for Hydro Flask. We saw - 4.9% lift in awareness (vs. 2.2% benchmark) - 7.8% lift in favorability (vs. 1.8% benchmark) - 4.6% lift in purchase intent (vs. 1.3% benchmark)

This should be in mid-budget category, but this campaign came in at $560k and we didn't want to cheat the first CCAs! But budget was our biggest challenge. We had to be incredibly resourceful to bring Lil Hydro to life with this budget. We got deep into innovative tech to render him as alive, emotive, and three-dimensional character with a mostly 2D character.
